Barbro Hörberg, the "visa" and the Swedish cabaret scene

The singer-songwriter Barbro Hörberg was in the 1970s groundbreaking as one of few female lyricists within the Swedish literary visa. During her short active time she got a lot of attention from mass media, and her songs still are interpreted by new singers. However, hardly anything of scientific character is written about her. The survey aims to identify and analyze Hörberg’s artistry and her production of songs and monologues, both as individual works and in a contemporary historical context.
