Children's and Youth Culture

Children and Youth Culture is a multidisciplinary subject where the living conditions of children and young people are studied in relation to how social institutions are organized and ideologically framed and what impact that might have on children's and young people's cultural environment. Based on historical and cultural perspectives, children's and young people's cultural identity and self-understanding are discussed. Children and Youth Culture provides a greater understanding of children’s and youth’s cultural worlds as well as tools to study and analyse them.

Please note that courses in Children and Youth Culture are only taught in Swedish. For more information about specific courses, visit the Swedish version of this page.
